10/3/25-Through NOT Around, but How?
“SERENITY AFTER THE STORM
Someone who knew what he was talking about once remarked that pain was the touchstone of all spiritual progress. How heartily we A.A.’s can agree with him. . . .
TWELVE STEPS AND TWELVE TRADITIONS, pp. 93-94
When on the roller coaster of emotional turmoil, I remember that growth is often painful. My evolution in the A.A. program has taught me that I must experience the inner change, however painful, that eventually guides me from selfishness to selflessness. If I am to have serenity, I must STEP my way (through) emotional turmoil and its subsequent hangover, and be grateful for continuing spiritual progress.”

Daily Reflections
{Thank You God for yesterday’s pain, today’s pain & tomorrow’s pain. Through these pains I find peace & serenity. Through this pain I find me, I find others & I find You. I am grateful that Your plan works that way. I am grateful for You!}

“We want to be at peace with ourselves and our environment. Sometimes, to do that, we need to be willing to face, feel, and get through discomfort.”
“Today, I am willing to face my discomfort, trusting that healing and release are on the other side. Help me, God, be open to feeling whatever I need to feel to be healed and healthy. While I am doing this, I will trust I am cared for and protected by myself, my friends, my Higher Power, and the Universe.”

“WHEN MANY THINGS SEEM to be going wrong, trust Me. When your life feels increasingly out of control, thank Me. These are supernatural responses, and they can lift you above your circumstances.”
“Affirm your trust in Me, regardless of how you feel. Thank Me for everything, though this seems unnatural—even irrational.”
“When you are back on ground level, you can face your circumstances from a humble perspective. If you choose supernatural responses this time—trusting and thanking Me—you will experience My unfathomable Peace.”
